Wow, I just got reminded that I had one of these things.  Guess I should start updating more often now that school started~ Which brings me to the fact that school is indeed about to begin again.  I've been back since last thursday doing RA training, but finally thats over so I can assume a normal life after this weekend once all the freshman move in.    Entering my senior year in college.. wow I feel old.  Soon I'll have to find a real job and enter the real world. Lol.

Wow, life's been real busy the last few weeks.  Still doing kendo all the time, and working all day.   My normal day consists of waking up 5AM and getting home at 6:30 PM.   And if I have Kendo then I don't get home till like 12:30 at night.  Oh well, everything is going good! And the summers sadly almost over.  Le sigh.

Well, I'm still too tired to give make a complete entry so I'll just name what's the cause of all my tiredness..... My internship!  Right now I'm an Analyst-Intern of REITs and stuff. Haven't done much analyzing though, most of my time has been spent these last today's getting everything set up for the next part of the project I'm helping the other intern with.   Never thought I'd ever have to use minitab again..

Yesterday was a LONG day! Woke up at 5 am to get ready for work. Got on the train around 6:30.. got to work around 8. Worked till 5. Got to the city from work around 6:30. Went to Kendo til 9:45ish. After Kendo went the bar for a burger and a drink. Only ate lunch all day so by the time Kendo was over I was starving...

Not to much time not to detail what my internship is about, but I like it! The first thing in the morning was a meeting about how to spend millions of dollars so you know I'm all about that! Hopefully I'll learn alot! When I have more time I'll get into more details.

Edit: Oh yeah, I guess I should talk about my fourth of July weekend. I really didn't do much at all friday night. Infact I went to sleep mad early. Saturday morning I woke up early to buy some business clothes for my new internship. Then I just waited around till Kendo and after Kendo I headed to the bar with some of the members! I'm definately grateful they haven't carded me yet, it sucks being so close to twenty-one but yet so far.. Other than that, on Sunday I went over to a couple of my neighbor's BBQ's and that's about it... Spent most of today doing yardwork, and reading.

----

Last semester I read a book that soon became one of my favorites ( Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles ). It was definately an original and perculiar book that bordered on everyday life and just complete absurdity. So the other day I decided to find some other books by the author to read. And today, I just finished one of them. The book I just read was called After the Quake and it was a collection of fictional short stories. The stories were about how the 1995 earthquake in Kobe, Japan affected the lives of various people who were nowhere near the actual earthquake.

But the stories seem so random and not related at all to the earthquake. Yet, he somehow manages to tie them all in to the quake. My favorite short story is the last one, "Honey Pie", which is I guess a love story. I say 'I guess' because like most of his work it's hard to put your finger exactly on the story. I can't even tell whether the story has a happy or sad ending but I'm leaning towards happy. Either way, it's definately a good story which let's the reader see love in a different way. I recommend picking up both the books to anyone who likes reading!!

The next book on my 'hitlist' is another of his books; Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World.
